Senior Director of Development
Eric Constant is Senior Director of Development at Catholic Extension. Among his responsibilities are strategic leadership and creative direction for the direct marketing and lead annual giving programs. Under his supervision these programs have experienced substantial growth in money raised, new donors, and retention. Eric also directs the areas of prospect research, analytics and moves management, donor services, and database administration.
Eric came to Catholic Extension in 2009 to establish the organization’s first prospect research operation. In 2012 he assumed his current set of responsibilities. Previously, he was Assistant Director of Prospect Research at Michigan State University, where he had been since 2002.
Eric holds a B.A. from Michigan State University, an M.A. from Northwestern University, and a Ph.D. in medieval history from Michigan State University.

Tom Gaffny is the principal of Tom Gaffny Consulting, an agency dedicated to providing breakthrough Strategic and Creative support for America’s best nonprofit organizations, with a special emphasis on Catholic missions. Prior to beginning this consulting agency, Tom was Executive Vice President of Epsilon’s Fundraising division. In this capacity, he led a team of more than 50 marketing professionals, providing consultative fundraising services and support to nearly 200 non-profit organizations nationally and globally, including many of the largest and most prestigious charities in America.
