A Day to Day Approach For Office Security and Online Processing

The presenter will cover the following areas to give you tips about how to effectively protect your organization and your donors’ transactions with your organization.

Initiate an up-to-date information security awareness and training program for all system users
Transmit sensitive data like credit card numbers
Data retention and back-up policies
The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)
The difference between carding and hacking

Attendees will learn methods to use to protect their donors’ transactions by following steps to review credit card transactions and spot bogus donations that seem too large or too small. They will also learn steps to train employees in security measures and work with their bank to protect sensitive credit card information.

There is no limit to how many people may participate using one connection. (Use a projector for large groups.) If you are registering multiple people from the same office but they plan on using separate computers, a registration is needed for each individual.

Bob Wesolowski is the founder and president of Caring Habits, Inc. Armed with a B.S. in economics and a MBA in finance, Bob started his career at Citibank in 1977 as an operations analyst. He later moved to Bankers Trust and Chase Manhattan Bank.

When Bob founded CHI in 1990, it was only the second company dedicated to building and operating monthly giving programs with electronic funds transfers. Over the years, CHI has expanded its services to include credit card processing, secure web giving and online event registration. Today, CHI has more than 250 clients in 40 states.

Over the years, Bob has given presentations and hosted roundtables to groups as diverse as the National Catholic Development Conference, the National Association of Treasurers for Religious Institutes, the Association of Lutheran Development Officers and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
