Sr. Georgette Lehmuth, OSF, President/CEO of NCDC, will be the keynote speaker as Catholic fundraisers from around the world will be gathering in Rome for a unique event later this year, a Catholic Fundraisers Pilgrimage and Conference. Held over 6 days in the Eternal City starting November 28, the conference brings together some of the best fundraising experts to reignite their passion in fundraising, to promote new ideas and give them a kick start on increasing future fundraising revenue for their Catholic universities, Catholic Healthcare, dioceses, missions and Catholic charities.
Organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and utilizing Domus Australia, their guest house and conference center in Rome, the Conference aims to improve Church fundraising efforts while giving delegates an opportunity to have a spiritual experience in Rome.
“We think this is a first for the Catholic Church, a Rome pilgrimage combined with a fundraising conference”, stated Chris Herron, conference organizer and Director of Development and Fundraising in the Sydney Archdiocese.
“I’m honored to be speaking at this gathering of Catholic fundraisers,” said Sr. Georgette. “Our ministry goes beyond borders, and this will be a great opportunity to discuss advancing our shared mission to witness, proclaim, engage, invite, and transform.”
Sr. Georgette will also be delivering the keynote address at the NCDC Annual Conference on September 28.
